South West Scotland

Some of the greatest Open Championships in living memory have been played on Scotland's South West coastline. The 'Duel in the Sun' between Watson and Nicklaus in 1977 at Turnberry. 32 years later at the same venue - Stewart Cink denying a 59 year old Watson in a playoff. Stenson outlasting Mickleson in a record breakking performance at Royal Troon in 2016. This is romantic golfing terrain, with views of the Ailsa Craig, Arran and the Mull of Kintyre. On a clear day you can even see Ireland. From a culinary perspective, the seafood offering is divine.
