Cabot Highlands

Cabot Highlands

Overview

Set in Inverness amidst the dramatic beauty of the Scottish Highlands and overlooking the iconic Moray Firth, this remarkable destination is a tribute to Scotland’s storied golfing legacy. A true gem, Cabot Highlands is home to the acclaimed Castle Stuart Golf Links, designed by Mark Parsinen and Gil Hanse, and the highly anticipated Old Petty course, designed by renowned architect Tom Doak. Old Petty will be open for Preview Play from August 1, 2025 until September 30, 2025, with bookings now available through Connoisseur Golf. The grand opening of Old Petty will be in Spring 2026, with bookings to be announced later this year. Playing on a pristine piece of land surrounding the 400-year old Castle, Old Petty will incorporate natural contours, meandering through hillsides and expansive open land with several holes along the water.Beyond golf, this remarkable property features a practice range, an art-deco clubhouse, a historic 17th-century castle after which the course is named, and more to come — a perfect blend of tradition, luxury, and adventure. Since it’s inception of Castle Stuart in 2009, the course has been a huge success, hosting multiple Scottish Opens and attracting fields including the biggest names in golf. “As golf course architects, those guys recognise that golf is not about hitting the ball longer and harder; it's about fun, creativity, memorable shots and holes that don’t have to beat you up all the time. It should almost be a prerequisite to play here before you're allowed to design golf courses nowadays.” – Phil Mickleson
