The Jubilee Course

The Jubilee Course

Overview

The third championship course at the Home of Golf, the Jubilee is considered by many to be the most challenging course on the famous Links. Built in 1897, it was originally intended for use by ladies and beginners. However, to capitalise on its prime golfing location between the New Course and the sea, the Jubilee was converted to a championship layout in 1988. No scorecard is safe until you complete the final five holes. This is a closing stretch which takes no prisoners, including the feature hole - the 15th. It might look like a 3 iron / 9 iron on paper, but it yields many more double bogeys than it does pars. You'll leave this course not just being glad you've played it, but you'll want to go out for a 2nd loop.
