The Dormy House
Overview
Offering 16 en-suite bedrooms, access to the Club's Snooker Room, and with Breakfast & Dinner being served overlooking the historic links, Dormy Guests have the opportunity to experience the heritage of Royal Lytham. The famous golf correspondent and writer Pat Ward-Thomas stayed at the Dormy House on a number of occasions. He described it as "the finest example of a Dormy House in my experience. It stands, a handsome building, within its own policies and remains solely to serve the purpose for which it was built. I love the moment of awakening and, looking across the beautiful sleek lawn of putting green to the Links, peacefully the day's activities begin. All is quiet save perhaps for a greenkeeper making sure that everything is in order. One can linger in the wonderful bath and then stroll over to breakfast in the clubhouse, past the little garden that always seems to be ablaze with colour whenever I am there."
