The term 'warm Scottish welcome' is overused, but here it rings true. GM Robert Clark knows a thing or two about hospitality at the highest level, and he has brought together a team of superstars to make your stay here every bit as memorable as playing Muirfield, Gullane or North Berwick. This beautiful Aberlady landmark was first constructed in 1638. Fast forward three and a half centuries to 1970, and it was transformed into a hotel, incorporating the schoolhouse next door. For its new chapter as The Leddie, the building has been stripped back and restored it to its former glory, preserving many of the authentic period features and its historic charm. The rooms? Get ready for rich, refined textures. Soft muted tones. Gentle lighting and oh-so-soft beds. These rooms were made for supreme relaxation: this is your sanctuary. The restaurant and bar? Honest food and drink, prepared with care and served with pride. Expect unfussy excellence, whatever you order. From the first sip to the last bite, discover simple, satisfying food that's all about enjoyment. The cherry on top of this wonderful hotel is the sun-drenched beer garden. Relax with a couple of post-round cold drinks before freshening up for dinner. We don't often rave about 4 star hotels, but this is the perfect golfing base in East Lothian. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.
