The position of Accounts Assistant is a challenging and varied role that requires superb analytical skills, attention to detail and a solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures.
What To Expect:
35 hours / week
A competitive salary of £26-32K depending on experience and skill set
Training and support from our Company Accountant
Positive, friendly and relaxed office environment
Dedicated workstation with 27' iMac and company iPhone
Job Role:
Manage 100+ simultaneous client accounts from point of sale to tour delivery
Process invoices and receipt completed client transactions
Making payments to golf courses, accommodation and transport providers
Update internal systems with financial transactions
Preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports
Preparation of quarterly VAT and annual tax returns for submission by Company Accountant
Reconcile online banking with Quickbooks software
Working closely with a team of Tour Co-ordinators, and reporting directly to the Managing Director and Company Accountant
Occasional helping out on-site with clients / Providing a meet & greet service at local hotels and golf courses / Working on-site at both our annual events in St Andrews - The Spring and Autumn Invitationals
Must Haves:
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
Experience using financial software (in particular Quickbooks)
Excellent MS Office skills (in particular Excel)
University / College / Professonal qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar
Proven work experience as an Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Accountant or similar
Highly Desired:
A knowledge of golf and the luxury golf travel market
A knowledge of, or willingness to learn TOMS (Tour Operator Margin Scheme) under the Company Accountant
